Welcome to September. We've had a fabulous August and the children start back at school on Tuesday. I hope I've got everything ready. Today is our monthly inspiration blog hop with CKC and our talented guest is Isbaha. For our scrapbooking this month we are taking inspiration from the Citrus Twist July Kits.
|Citrus Twist July Kits|
There's a lot to choose from in that collection of July kits, so where do I start? I sat back and looked at all the kit previews together for an overall feel and there'a a lot of blue with some brown and pink in there. The main kit had "Pocket Life" in it's title and that gave me my clue. I have the Document Life Collection by T for Me Designs that I've hardly used and it's mostly blue and brown. So I'll use that as my base and theme it up with other stuff in my stash.
So how do I theme? What themes/themed elements are dominant in the Citrus Twist July kits? I can see an Eiffel Tower there, I do have some of those in Courtney Digiscrappin's When in Paris kit, and also in Ju Kneipp's travel kit "Ready Set Go". Travel is another dominant theme.
I think I've scrapped all my Paris photos but do have quiet a lot of photos left to scrap from my European Camping trips. So lets go for a Camp Europe kit pulling European & general travel stuff from from Ju's Ready Set Go. One of Angie Young's Collage It Map Borders has a bit of Europe on it so I'll add that too.
I've an old camping kit in my stash I've never used and got as a freebie in a contest several years ago by a young designer called Jady Day Studios. It's very American themed which is probably why I've never used it, but I can pull some stuff from it for my kit.
If you are blog hopping with us your next stop is with our patterned paper loving Dawn. I'll have my first layout using this kit ready to share with you in a few days.
